If you are interested in attending the 27th annual Write on the Sound conference, Oct. 5-7 in Edmonds, there is still limited availability in some of Friday’s pre-conference workshops and the full weekend conference. Many workshops are nearing capacity, so act quickly. This popular event, sponsored by the City of Edmonds Arts Commission, always sells out.

A new feature for the 2012 conference is a guided tour specifically for WOTS participants on Friday, Oct. 5. The Wings of Flight and Flights of Wine tour will stop at Boeing’s “Future of Flight,” as well as the Whidbey Island Winery, before continuing along part of the National Geographic’s “500 Drives of a Lifetime,” passing through Fort Casey, Coupeville, Deception Pass and La Conner before returning to Edmonds.
Attendees are advised to call Roads2Travel at 425-493-4555 to reserve space on the tour, which costs $89 per person. Reservations and prepayment must be arranged by Sept. 5.
