Brett Hagen as been named principal at Sherwood Elementary, replacing Christine Kessler who is taking a one-year leave of absence.

Hagen has been a teacher at Terrace Park Elementary since 2006, and completed his Principal Internship at Terrace Park during the 2010-11 school year. He has also served as an acting principal at various schools in the Edmonds School District since 2010.

Before coming to Edmonds, Hagen was an elementary teacher and 6^th grade principal in Sunnyvale, Calif.
