Brief meeting for Edmonds City Council, then committees Tuesday night

The Edmonds City Council will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday for what is scheduled to be a brief discussion regarding a resolution to reject all bids received by the City of Edmonds for the Main Street decorative lighting and sidewalk enhancements project between 5th and 6th Avenues. The reason? In reviewing the bid documents for all four bidders, errors were found in meeting the Disadvantage Business Enterprise goal for the project. Assuming the resolution is approved, project bids will be re-advertised, with the bid opening set for Aug. 27.

At the 6:30 p.m., the council will meet in committees:

– Finance Committee in the jury meeting room

– Planning, Parks & Public Works Committee in the Council Chambers

– Public Safety and Personnel Committee in the police training room.

The meetings are open to the public. All meeting rooms are located in the Public Safety Complext, 250 5th Ave. N.
