After a disappointing performance last weekend in the Tri-Cities, the Edmonds-based Miss Peters and May unlimited hydroplane is preparing for this weekend’s Albert Lee Cup at Seafair.
Crew chief/owner Scott Raney has been making adjustments to the hull and gearbox to prepare the boat for the shorter Seattle course. Top speed is not as important as acceleration and the ability to go slow to set up for the start
Driver JW Myers has been helping to work on the boat and also is devising a driving strategy to get our local hydroplane in the best possible position for the racing this weekend. Shannon Raney, team manager/owner, has been busy working with sponsors and suppliers to make sure that this weekend maximizes their return on their efforts.
Racing starts Friday with qualification runs and then actual racing heats on Saturday and Sunday. Follow all the action here on My Edmonds News.
