Forever Home founder Diane Swanberg notes that Forever Home’s next adoption event will be this weekend, Aug. 11 and 12, at Petco in Lynnwood (in the Barnes and Noble shopping plaza on 196th Street Southwest). Swanberg added that Forever Home Dog Rescue is looking for addition foster homes. Anyone interested in fostering for two weeks to six months (depending on how long it takes for the dog to be adopted) should email Swanberg at info@foreverhomedogrescue.org. “There’s an interview and a home visit and that’s it. We take care of all the vet care and advice/suggestions on how to work with the dogs,” she said.
Here’s more about Dozer:
Dozer is is an incredibly friendly, loving and easy-going 7-year-old pit bull. He is great with children of all ages and other dogs. Dozer loves to play ball, run, go for walks and play with other dogs. His coloring is brown/brindle. Dozer is housebroken and very well-behaved. He does not jump on guests and is not known to be a “barker.” Dozer is current on all vaccinations, is microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $350.
His foster mom says Dozer “is one of the sweetest, most loving dogs I have ever met; and I have had a LOT of dogs come through my home. Dozer has a very happy disposition. He really loves toys, and loves to frolic in the yard playing ball. Dozer loves attention. He will slowly crawl (like he is sneaking) into your lap to hug you. He does not realize that he does not fit into your lap. He loves to lie down beside you and rest his head on your chest while you rub his belly. Dozer is very fond of food. Dozer is super friendly to everyone, and every dog he meets. Dozer likes to scratch himself a lot because he has allergies, which need to be kept in check or he becomes really depressed and sad. Dozer is looking forward to bringing happiness and love to his forever owner, who will take care of him and love him unconditionally. Whoever is lucky enough to adopt Dozer will be rewarded with lots of ‘Dozer smiles.’”
