For the second year, My Edmonds News will provide live audio broadcasts of Edmonds-Woodway High School football games that can be heard or seen by anyone with an Internet connection.
Warrior Radio sponsored by MS Helping Hands will begin its second season with the Edmonds-Woodway High School football match-up vs. Everett, which kicks off at 8 p.m. this Friday, Aug. 31 at Edmonds Stadium.
Both home and away games will be webcast here. Not only are the games covered live, but they are also archived for later listening.
Doing the EWHS play-by-play for the second year is the voice of Warrior Radio, Keith Nealey, an Edmonds-Woodway parent and television broadcast engineer who supports numerous professional sporting events. Nealey will be assisted by guest color announcers, including EWHS alumni and students.
The pre-game show will be broadcast approximately 10 minutes prior to each game and will include interviews with coaches and a look at the upcoming game matchups. The half-time show will feature interviews with special guests. Both the pregame and half-time shows are sponsored by Harris Ford Lincoln of Lynnwood.
My Edmonds News donates a portion of all sponsorships to the Edmonds-Woodway Athletic Booster Club to fund student athletic programs. Sponsors in addition to MS Helping Hands and Harris Ford Lincoln include Edmonds Community College, Edmonds Sports Academy, Action Jackson Plumbing, Burger King, Revelations Yogurt and Wesco Athletics.
