EAC opens applications for student representative

The Edmonds Arts Commission (EAC) Is now accepting applications for a student representative to serve on the EAC for the 2012-13 school year. The EAC Student Representative will have the opportunity to learn more about the EAC’s creative programming and provide insight into developing future programming. Projects may include organizing visual art exhibits, working with public art projects, website content and the annual writers’ conference, depending on the student’s interests.

This appointment will be for a one academic year term starting October, 2012. The youth seat will be non-voting, but will participate in discussions and be encouraged to comment. Community service hours can be arranged. Qualifications and requirements for applicants: Resident of Edmonds, 16-25 years of age, coursework or strong personal interest in the arts, able to meet on first Monday of each month at 6 p.m., commit to volunteering on EAC projects, fill out and submit application along with suitable references.
