Julie Van Tosh took these photos of Curtis, from Anacortes, as he beached his kayak at Meadowdale County Beach Park on Wednesday. “He’s paddling the Cascadia Marine Trail from Oak Harbor to Shelton — about 100 air miles,” Van Tosh said. “Paddling the distance will take 3-4 days.”Amid blue skies, the kayak sits safely on the beach.
