Edmonds-based MS Helping Hands and two other non-profits — the Driftwood Players and Clothes for Kids — are in the running to secure grant money through the Chase Community Giving Program via Facebook.
By voting for any of these organizations in the Chase Community Giving program, and you can help them become one of 196 charities to share $5 million in grants.
Here’s how it works: Everyone automatically gets two votes to use on the Chase Community Giving Facebook page. You can’t use them both on the same charity, but there are thousands of charities to pick from. Just make sure that MS Helping Hands, Driftwood Players and Clothes for Kids is one of your votes.
Keeping with the spirit of giving, Chase also gives you an opportunity to earn an extra vote. Just share a link from the Chase Community Giving app to your timeline. If one of your friends links back to the Chase Community Giving app and casts a vote of their own, you will earn an extra vote. Then you can use that extra vote on one of these organizations.
In addition, Chase customers get two extra votes. To use your customer appreciation votes, go to Chase.com/ChaseGiving, log in, search charities, and cast your ballot. Voting runs from now through Sept. 19.
Another long-time Edmonds institution, the Edmonds Arts Festival Foundation, is a most worthy candidate for our votes.
Great to know — thank you!
