Several candidates for Congress and the Washington State Legislature will be at Edmonds Community College this Saturday, Sept. 15, from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. for a South Snohomish County candidates’ forum.
Hosted by Edmonds Community College, the City of Lynnwood’s Neighborhoods and Demographic Diversity Commission, and the League of Women Voters, the forum will take place at Woodway Hall, located at 20000 68th Ave. W. in Lynnwood. Doors open at 9:30 a.m.
Confirmed participants include Congressional District 2 candidates Dan Matthews and Rick Larsen; District 1 State Senate candidate Rosemary McAuliffe; District 1 State Rep. Postion 2 candidates Luis Moscoso and Mark Davies; and Legislative District 21 State Rep. Position 2 candidates Marko Liias and Kevin Morrison.
This is a non-partisan forum and the event sponsors do not endorse any candidates. Invited candidates include 2nd Congressional District, and representatives from the 1st, 21st and 32nd legislative districts.
Other community sponsors include The American Association of University Women, Communities of Color Coalition, National Association for the Advancement of Colored People of Snohomish County, Latino Education and Training Institute, the Equity Alliance for Achievement and the Black Policy Foundation.
