The City of Edmonds is hosting a public meeting Thursday, Oct. 25 regarding the 228th Street Southwest Corridor Improvement Project. The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the bottom floor conference room of the City’s public works building, 7110 210th St. S.W.
The project will build the missing link of roadway on 228th Street Southwest from Highway 99 to 76th Avenue West and also install two new traffic signals at the intersections of Highway 99/228th Street Southwest and 76th Avenue West/228th Street Southwest. The center median will be extended on a portion of Highway 99 to restrict left turns and improve safety. Sidewalk and bike lanes will be included along the new section of 228th Street Southwest, and 228th Street will also receive a pavement overlay.
Citizens are invited to hear a presentation and then discuss their ideas and concerns regarding the project with city staff and the consultant, Perteet, which is working on the design.
Great to hear as it’s a much needed improvement for everyone living in the neighborhood.
