Edmonds boy who allegedly posted online threats charged with felony harassment

Our online news partner The Seattle Times reports that a 16-year-old Edmonds boy was charged in King County Juvenile Court Thursday with felony harassment for allegedly posting an online threat last month to shoot up his former school, Skyline High School, according to the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.

The teen was arrested Tuesday at his Edmonds home for allegedly posting the threat, which prompted the closure of Skyline on Sept. 20, The Times said. The boy, who attended the school between September 2010 and November 2011, is also suspected of posting a similar cyber threat in April against students at Meadowdale High School in Lynnwood.

The teen has been emergency expelled from his current school, Edmonds-Woodway High School.
