Advocates for Women of Edmonds Unitarian Universalist Church is hosting a dinner from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21 to benefit The Bridge Program, Washington’s residential treatment program for sexually exploited minors.
Approximately 500 minors per year are trafficked on an Everett-to-Tacoma circuit, and The Bridge provides comprehensive help for up to 20 trafficking victims (14-17 years old) in a safe, welcoming six-bed facility. Leslie Briner of The Bridge Program/YouthCare will speak and dinner (pasta for meat-eaters, vegetarians and gluten-free dieters) will be served following the program. Donations for The Bridge will be gratefully accepted.
