Meadowdale High School graduate Emily Denham was named “Volleyball Player of the Week” for Shoreline Community College, based on her match performances from Oct. 8-14, according to our friends at Shoreline Area News.
Denham, a freshman, had 14 kills in the SCC’s loss last Wednesday night to Bellevue College in a Northern Region match and then she was named “All-Tournament” at the NWAACC Crossover Tournament held at SCC last weekend. The Dolphins went 2-3 at the Crossover, but Denham had a big role in the two wins against Lower Columbia College and Chemeketa CC that sent SCC to the “Gold” Bracket semi-finals.
The Lady Dolphins are now 9-13 on the season, but 4-2 in the NWAACC Northern Region and in 3rd place. The top four teams qualify for the NWAACC Volleyball Championship in November.
