The Floretum Garden Club is hosting a workshop, “Native Star Plants for the Home Garden & Why,” from 10 a.m.-noon Saturday, Oct. 13, in the Coldwell Banker Bain meeting room, 108 5th Ave. S., Edmonds.
The workshop will be presented by Nancy Moore, owner of Obelisk, a native plant nursery in Shoreline. Moore specializes in propagating Northwest native perennials suitable for home gardens, and also creates wildlife habitat garden designs for homes, schools and community gardens. She is the garden designer of the Willow Creek Hatchery demonstration garden in Edmonds.
