Theresa Catt has been named manager of KeyBank’s new branch in Edmonds.
The branch, under construction at 9930 Edmonds Way, is scheduled to open Oct. 22.
Catt has managed KeyBank’s SoDo branch since joining Key in 2008. She began her banking career in 1996 with First Interstate Bank, which was acquired by Wells Fargo in 1997. She worked as a teller and later as a personal banker while attending Seattle Central Community College where she earned an associate of arts degree in business. She later became a business specialist and branch manager.
Catt has lived in Shoreline for 37 years and is active in the community. She is involved in the Greater Seattle Chamber of Commerce, Lake City Chamber of Commerce, Northgate Chamber of Commerce, and volunteers for Lake City Pioneer Days, trade shows and clean-up days to improve the environment.
I haven’t figured out why we need a new physical bank location in Edmonds. I’m more than a little suspicious of a business model that’s making enough money to justify new construction in this economy… who/where are the profits coming from?
But what really gets my goat are the lane closures and related traffic delays during the business day. The least that could be done is to schedule these private enterprise born disruptions after hours.
Who makes these sorts of decisions for the city?
