The regular high school football season comes to an end Friday night, when our two local football teams play at Edmonds Stadium — and both games promise to be exciting match-ups.

Edmonds-Woodway will meet Mariner at 5 p.m. The teams are each 3-1 in conference play and 5-2 overall, tied for second in the 4A Wesco South behind first-place Jackson (4-0, 6-1). You can listen to the game live on Warrior Radio, with the voice of the Warriors, Keith Nealey, doing the play-by-play. At 8 p.m., Meadowdale (3-0, 6-1) will meet Glacier Peak (3-0, 6-1) in the battle of the two first-place teams in the 3A Wesco South. It is also the Mavs’ homecoming game.

Both teams have earned playoff berths, with post-season competition starting next Friday night.
