My Edmonds News will launch its second season of Warrior Radio broadcasts featuring Edmonds-Woodway High School boys and girls basketball games, with a twist: The first pre-season match-up — Tuesday night, Nov. 27 against Mountlake Terrace High School — will be a joint livestreamed video broadcast involving announcers for both Warrior Radio and the Hawks Live Sports Network.
Doing the Warriors’ play-by-play will be Keith Nealey, an Edmonds-Woodway parent and television broadcast engineer who has been covering EWHS sporting events via the livestreamed Warrior Radio since fall 2011. Steve Willits, an MTHS alumni and the voice of the Hawks Live Sports Network, will be joining Nealey on the broadcast. You will be able to access the broadcast either through the Warrior Radio or Hawks Live Sports Network links.
Tuesday’s action begins with the Warrior Radio pre-game show presented by Dewar Meeks & Ekram at 7:10 p.m., followed by a 7:15 p.m. tip-off.
The halftime show presented by Edmonds Sports Academy will feature a wrap up of the first half and interviews with special guests.
Regular Warrior Radio audio broadcasts continue Thursday night when the Lady Warriors host Issaquah, also at 7:15 p.m. All games are broadcast live and also archived for later listening.
A percentage of all Warrior Radio advertising profits will benefit the Edmonds-Woodway Athletic Booster Club. Other advertising sponsors include Chuck
Olson Chevrolet, Action Jackson Plumbing and Edmonds Community College.
