Edmonds-Woodway HS Parent Staff Organization to host three events Monday

Edmonds-Woodway High School students and families are invited to attend three Parent Staff Organization (PSO) events happening Monday, Dec. 17 at EWHS.

5:45-6:50 p.m. Washington State Supreme Court Justice Steve Gonzalez will speak in the Great Hall about the importance of pursuing a post-secondary education. Latino students and their families are the primary target audience, but non-Latino students/families are welcome to attend. He will deliver his motivational speech in Spanish, with translation in English available.

7-8:30 p.m.  Intro to Financial Aid and the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) form in the theater, aimed students and families applying to college this year. A Spanish interpreter will be available.

7-8 p.m. Information and resources for House Bill 1079 (Great Hall): This is for undocumented students who don’t qualify for FAFSA. Spanish/English interpreter is available.

And the EWHS PSO kicks off its holiday fund drive for EWHS students in need on Monday. Watch for the PSO elves in the car line! This was an incredibly successful event last year — thanks to you. We look forward to again being able to give our counseling department gift cards to provide to students in need with clothes, food and gifts. If you can help out with collecting donations for 20 minutes directly before or after school, please email psomembership@hotmail.com.
