Pamela Wanser, CFRE, joins the Edmonds Community College Foundation as its Director of Development. The Foundation, established in 1982, supports access, success, and excellence for students, faculty, and staff at Edmonds Community College.
Wanser has more than 24 years of experience as a development professional, most recently as director of major gifts and development for Ballet Arizona in Phoenix. She has also served the arts in similar roles at The Phoenix Symphony and the Arizona Theatre Company.
In major gift fundraising, also in Arizona, she served as senior vice president for leadership giving at United Way and as director of special gifts for Sun Health, a multi-facility healthcare provider, now a part of Banner Health.
Wanser has a liberal arts degree from The University of Arizona. Her husband, Bill Wanser, an orchestral musician, began his college education at Everett Community College.
“My husband and I are very happy to transition to this community and live on the Snohomish farm where he grew up, and which has been in his family for over 100 years,” said Wanser.
The Foundation holds two major annual fundraising events each year: A Vintage Evening gala dinner and auction and a golf tournament. The gala this Feb. 23 features guest chef Thierry Rautureau of Rovers and Luc restaurants. The Foundation awards more than 100 scholarships to Edmonds Community College students at the start of each academic year.
