I will be out of town for the next two weekends, so there will not be a newsletter for Jan. 20 and 27. There is no school on Jan. 21 and 25; Jan. 24 is a half day.

Chamber Orchestra and Wind Symphony Students

If you missed your opportunity to have a professional portrait taken with your instrument at the Fall concerts, you will have one more chance.  These photos will be available for viewing and purchase by your families at the Gala Dinner on April 13th. They will also be available for purchase in late April or May.  The make-up session will take place Feb. 5.  Drop in anytime between 2:15 and 6:15 p.m..Location: Magic Photo 22912 highway 99, Edmonds 98026.  Wear your tux or dress and bring your instrument.

Gala Donations and Solicitations
Would you be willing to help the Gala Committee solicit donations for the Spring Gala? We are looking for gift certificates or donations of vacation home time, special dinners, or other fun experiences. Please contact Jon Howeiler, if you can help or have something to donate. Vote – Battle of the Bands – Vote Every Day Until Jan. 18
Voting for Battle of the Bands started Jan.1 and runs through Jan. 18. We need everyone to vote – so our school can make it into the Top Ten. VOTE HERE for EWHS once each day.

PCC Gift Cards Are Available – Great Fundraiser for Music Boosters
Music Boosters has purchase re-loadable gift cards from PCC. The cards have a current value of $10 (that’s what you pay for them) which you can use to purchase items from PCC. They can then be re-loaded as many times as you’d like for any amount.  PCC will donated a percentage  to the Music Boosters automatically each time you re-load your card. You don’t have to keep buying new cards – just re-load the same card. If you’d like to purchase a card contact Margret Langsted.

Music Parent Help Needed at the Athletic Boosters’ Auction 
March 16 – Lynnwood Convention Center
Each year, 10 to 15 parents from the Music Program help out at the Athletic Boosters’ Auction. In turn, the Athletic Boosters have their parents come and help at our Gala. This allows all the parents from each Booster group to enjoy their evening and not have to work the event. I (Sarah) did it last year and it was a lot of fun. We help sell tickets at their games and raffles, count paddles at the auction, and help hand out receipts at the end of the evening. It is all easy and fun to do.
