This year the Edmonds Woodway High School band is competing with 19 other area schools in the Schools of the Rock: Battle of the Bands competition. Voting is in round one and the grand prize winner will receive up to $10,500 for new instruments, uniforms and music, sponsored by The Rock Wood-fired Pizza & Spirits. Seven other schools will receive a cash prize as well.
Participating schools were asked to perform a classic rock song; Edmonds-Woodway’s band chose “Back in Black” by AC/DC.
