Harbor Square Master Plan back on council agenda Tuesday night

The Edmonds City Council has allocated 90 minutes Tuesday night to continue its discussion on incorporating the Harbor Square Master Plan into the City’s Comprehensive Plan.

At last week’s meeting, after making it clear that the council is no longer considering a controversial Port of Edmonds plan for the property but a city staff-generated plan, councilmembers spent two hours examining a city staff-prepared chart summarizing council concerns.

The council is expected to discuss the remaining three pages of the five-page chart Tuesday. The meeting is labeled as a work session, however, with no action scheduled Tuesday on the plan itself.

Also on the council agenda:

– the Edmonds Planning Board’s quarterly report

– a joint meeting with Fire District 1 Commissioners for their annual report

– a discussion on the Shoreline Master Program

– a report on outside Board and Committee meetings

At the end of the meeting, the council is scheduled to convene in executive session to discuss pending litigation, with action possible immediately following that closed-door session.

You can see the complete agenda here. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers, Public Safety Complex, 250 5th Ave. N.
