Lane closures could impact those headed south on I-5 through Seattle this weekend

South Snohomish County residents headed through Seattle this weekend are alerted to the following Interstate 5 lane closures due to construction:

According to the Washington State Department of Transportation, as of 10 p.m. Friday, three out of four lanes on southbound I-5 from NE Ravenna Boulevard. to just north of the Mercer Street exit are closed until 10 a.m. Saturday for pavement repairs. The NE Ravenna Boulevard on-ramp to southbound I-5 is also closed.

Drivers can avoid traffic delays by using the I-5 express lanes which are open southbound, or taking an alternate route.

This closure will also occur from 10 p.m. Saturday, March 23 to 10 a.m. Sunday, March 24
