Two Meadowdale students, Nathan Battern and Amanda Tomchick, have been accepted into the Adobe Youth Voices Summit, a four-day event of learning and exchange in which youth and educators collaborate with industry professionals and media artists to discover new techniques, share innovative ideas, and advance the Adobe Youth Voices program and the ever-growing youth media field.

Battern and Tomchick will be on-site at the August 12-16, 2013 event at the headquarters of Adobe Systems in San Jose, Calif. They will join Meadowdale CTE Video teacher Claire Beach  as one of the teams from across the globe selected to attend this prestigious event.

Educators attending the Summit will participate in training and professional development designed to prepare them as Adobe Youth Voices Lead Educators so they can continue to provide leadership and mentoring for their peers beyond the Summit. Youth will learn new technical and creative skills to take their work to the next level while collaborating with peers from around the world.

The event will culminate in a live, celebratory exhibition event where the media work of attendees will be showcased for Adobe employees and the public.
