E-W softball shuts out Marauders Thursday

The E-W Warriors softball team beat the Mariner Marauders 19-0 in five innings Thursday.

Every eligible player got a turn at bat and all but one got on base. Sydney Forseth went 5 for 5 with four runs. Brooklynn Bailey went 4 for 5 with three runs and 7 RBI, including a home run in the fourth inning. Cassady Orstad, Moni Jackson and Ari Girouard all went 4 for 5, scoring three runs each. Jackson also had 3 RBI and with starting pitcher Lafferty out due to injury, Jackson was in the circle.

Other key hits for E-W were made by Kaylie Whitmore and Taylor Jones, who both drove in three runs each, and Kayla Krall, who was 2 for 4 with an RBI.

The Warriors play again Friday against Snohomish High School at Snohomish at 4 p.m.
