Danny Rock, current principal of Edmonds Heights K-12, has selected as the new principal of Vashon High School, the Vashon-Maury Island Beachcomber reported Tuesday.
Rock was selected following a two-month search to replace retiring VHS principal Susan Hanson, the newspaper said. He was chosen from among 17 applicants for the job.
The 37-year-old Rock has served as principal of Edmonds Heights K-12, formerly known as the Edmonds Homeschool Resource Center, since 2007. Before that, he spent six years as a teacher at Roosevelt High School.
The Vashon School Board is expected to approve Rock’s hiring at a meeting Thursday.
