In honor of Earth Day Monday, April 22, Edmonds Lutheran Church is hosting an Earth Day Worship and Day of Action this Sunday. Among the church-sponsored events:
Worship: 8:30 a.m. and 10 a.m., a fusion of First Nations and Lutheran Liturgies.
Free Recycling Event- noon to 3 p.m.
1 Green Planet, a non-profit organization, will offer free recycling on-site. From computer printers to rusty bicycles, 1 Green Planet will take just about anything. 1 Green Planet accepts: Computers, Laptops, Printers, Computer parts, Faxes, Scanners, Modems, Wires, Toners, Computer Batteries, Appliances, Washers/Dryers, Refrigerators, Water heaters, Stereos, CD, DVD, VHS, Cassette players, Speakers, Television Monitors, (any size) Bicycles, Motorcycles, Cars, Trucks, Car-Boat Motorcycle Batteries, Barbecues no propane please!) Lawn mowers (please empty gasoline and oil!) Fitness equipment, Medical equipment and more. For a complete list of eligible items, visit www.1greenplanet.org.
Clothing Swap– noon to 3 p.m.
Drop off items you no longer need and grab as much donated clothing as you like. Bring a small bag, take home a huge bag!
Kids’ Activities– noon to 3 p.m.
These include a flower-planting station, Earth-Day art projects, face-painting and plenty of refreshments.
