Edmonds man identified as victim of BB gun shooting near Lynnwood

Dean E. Urness, 52, of Edmonds has been identified by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office as the man found dead near Lynnwood on March 31. The medical examiner said his death was caused by a compressed air rifle BB gun wound of the chest.

A man and woman were arrested in connection with Urness’ death, which occurred in the 19500 block of Damson Road in Lynnwood. The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit responded to the incident.

The investigation led to an arrest of a 32-year-old male for second-degree domestic violence assault and the arrest of a 32-year-old female for second-degree murder. Both subjects were booked into the Snohomish County Jail.
