Join guest speaker Janette Turner for her talk, “Connecting Community Through Story and Memoir,” at the next Friends of the Edmonds Library meeting, 1 p.m. Thursday, April 25, at the Library’s upstairs Plaza Room, 650 Main St.
Turner is a writing teacher and president of EPIC, a local nonprofit supporting writers year round with free classes and workshops. Her Monday morning writing class is a popular draw at the Edmonds Library, and her Artfully Edmonds column for My Edmonds News was a weekly highlight this past year.
In addition to finishing her forthcoming book, “Confessions of a Cosmo Addict: A Magazine Memoir,” Turner hosts a memoir class at a local battered women’s shelter. She believes writing down your memories can lead to a happy ending. Learn more at www.JanetteTurner.com.
I know you’ll do well, but good luck anyway. I do have apologize that I won’t be able to be there. Have fun!
