Edmonds-Woodway High School and Chase Lake Community School were placed in lockdown around 2 p.m. Monday while Edmonds police searched the nearby neighborhood for a residentiall burglary suspect.
An Edmonds School District spokeswoman said that the lockdown is precautionary and will be lifted when police determine it is safe to do so.
