Congratulations
-Congratulations to Alfred Yi – Alfred placed 1st in the state for bassoon at the Solo/Ensemble Contest in Ellensburg on Friday!

-EWHS’s Brass Quintet won 2nd in the state – in large brass division at State Solo/Ensemble Contest. Congrats to Carson Lipscomb, Keegan Huffman, Austin Davis, David Piper and Brad Riggs.

-Swing Dance Lessons are off to a great start. Save the date, May 17 is the Big Band Dance at E-W Gym.

-Congrats to the Masterworks Musicians, it was a great concert.

-June 4 Concert Start Time has been moved from 7:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Musicians, please pay all your fines and fees so you can receive your yearbook and stay in good standing. Many upper classmen still owe for their Pep Band T-shirt from the fall.

Big Band Dance – May 17th
Candy Gaul has agreed to chair this fun event. She will need help with the decorations, collection of desserts, and helping the night of the dance. This is a big dance for EWHS and the students love it. Please volunteer to help out that night! If you can help, contact Candy at ccgaul@comcast.net.

Please Help our EWHS Band – Vote on Thursday!
At the EWHS talent show two weeks ago, the rock band Erroneous was chosen to compete at the Wesco Battle of the Bands at Everett Civic Auditorium (2416 Colby Ave., Everett) on Thursday, May 2nd, 6pm to 9 pm. Tickets are $3 with ASB card, $5 without ASB. They will be playing against 13 other bands. The winning band (chosen by votes after the show) will donate the entire proceeds from the ticket sales to a non-profit organization of their choice. If they win, Erroneous has picked the E-W music boosters as their charity. Members of the band are: Jack White (vocals), Rahul Mathew (guitar), Hugh Kline(drums) and Ben Pennington (Bass).
