Music Booster Gala Dinner

Thank you to everyone who helped with the Gala – and there are many of you! All together it made for an absolutely wonderful evening. What a great turn out we had! The venue at Holy Rosary was perfect. Chef Dane had great food and desserts were delicious. Thank you to the teachers and students for providing music – it is always nice to hear all the musicians preform. Thank you to all the parents, friends, and community members who attended and donated to support our music program. You are the best!

Photos of Your Student – Still Available

Dale Sutton from Magic Photo took professional photos of the Wind Symphony and Chamber Orchestra students with their instruments. If you haven’t seen them, go to Magic Photo’s website and check them out!

There are three packages of photos to choose from – starting at $15. A portion of the proceeds are donated to Music Boosters.

Music Booster Meeting – This Tuesday!

Music Boosters will have a meeting this Tuesday in the Orchestra room at 7 p.m. Information about how well the Gala Fundraiser did will be available. Also, there are leftover etched wine glasses (with music charm) that will be available for $5 each – don’t miss out on these! Hope to see you there.

Swing Lessons Start This Week

The EWHS Music department is sponsoring Dance Lessons to interested participants. Lindy Hop, East Coast Swing, Jitterbug and other fun steps will be offered in four lessons leading up to the Edmonds-Woodway High School Swing Dance on May 17. Each Tuesday beginning April 16, professional swing dance instructors Kevin Buster and partner will be teaching interested students from 2-3:30 p.m. in the great hall. Lessons are $25 for the four lessons plus one brush-up lesson on the night of the dance from 6:30-7 p.m. and includes free admission to the dance. These lessons are highly encouraged for all musicians as it’s a great way to internalize good time keeping and is a great social experience, too.

Interested dancers should sign up with Mr. Bergevin to pick up the necessary paperwork and payment should be made as checks to EWHS Music Boosters only. Tri-M Salon This Tuesday

Tri-M is hosting a special Salon on Tuesday, April 16 from 3-4:30 p.m. in the band room. International trumpet star and UW professor Cuong Vu will be visiting with his band to play and talk for interested students.

Big Band Dance – May 17
