Benefit Concert at ECA was a Success!

Please Help At the Gala! We are looking for parents, student alums who are in the area, or friends who might not want to attend the Gala – but are willing to help during the evening. You do not have to pay anything volunteer! We need people to help serve the meals, run the raffles/games, or help tally the numbers for the auctions.

Gala is This Saturday

The Gala is this week! There are some pretty awesome Auction Items as well as the Fund-a-Need Auction. Come out and Support EWHS Music!

Swing Dance and Swing Lessons

The EWHS Music Boosters and Jazz Bands are hosting a Big Band Dance 7 p.m. on Friday, May 17. Lessons will be offered to teach interested participants to dance the Lindy Hop, East Coast Swing, Jitterbug and other fun steps. Four lessons will be offered leading up to the dance.

Each Tuesday beginning April 16, professional swing dance instructors Kevin Buster and partner will be teaching interested kids from 2-3:30 in the great hall. Lessons are $25 for the 4 lessons plus one brush up lesson on the night of the dance from 6:30-7 p.m. and includes free admission to the dance. These lessons are highly encouraged for all musicians as it’s a great way to internalize good time keeping and is a great social experience, too.

Interested dancers should sign up with Mr. Bergevin by Friday, April 12 to pick up the necessary paperwork and payment should be made as checks to EWHS Music Boosters only. If you are unable to take the lessons, please come to the dance; admission will be $10 which will feature the Edmonds-Woodway Jazz Ensembles, College Place Middle, Madrona Middle and Maplewood Jazz Bands and refreshments will be served. Proceeds benefit the EW Jazz Program.
