Edmonds police reported a home invasion robbery in the Seaview neighborhood Tuesday afternoon with the suspect still at large. The incident occurred in the 19300 block of 88th Avenue West, according to Edmonds police spokesman Sgt. Mark Marsh.
Here’s a news release from the police:
“At about 2:30 PM a woman called 9-1-1 to report that a male had come into her home and held her at gun point while he stole items from inside the house. The male left out the front door of the house on foot.
A Lynnwood Police Department K9 unit responded to assist, conducting a canine track for the suspect. The track only went a short distance before ending. The suspect likely left in a vehicle. A suspicious vehicle had been seen in the area just before the incident. It was described as a square-style older Honda-type vehicle, grey in color. The suspect was described as a white male, approximately 50 years old, 5-7, having a fit build, and wearing a black sweatshirt and jeans.
As a precaution, Seaview Elementary temporarily locked down its after-school activities. It has since reopened. Edmonds Police are continuing their investigation into the incident. It is unknown if the suspect acted alone or had accomplices.”
Seaview Elementary wasn’t put in lockdown. That is incorrect.
Our son attends Seaview. Perhaps it should have been locked down, I don’t know.
