A man was transported to Harborview Medical Center Monday afternoon after Edmonds police found him walking in the 23800 block of 84th Avenue West with stab wounds to his back.
According to police spokesman Sgt. Don Anderson, police were dispatched to the scene at approximately 3:40 p.m. after receiving a report of a man walking down the street with blood on his head and clothing.
The victim, described as a white male, “was only able to tell officers that the suspect was tall with glasses (unknown race or age) before aid/medic personnel began administering first aid and transported him to Harborview,” Anderson said.
It is unclear where the assault occurred or what the circumstances were, Anderson said, adding that tracking by a police K9 unit was unsuccessful.
Anyone with information about the stabbing or who saw anything suspicious in the area between 3:30 and 3:40 p.m. is encouraged to call 911.Anonymous tips can be left on the Edmonds Police Department tip line at 425-771-0212.
