My Edmonds News founder and publisher Teresa Wippel received two awards from the Edmonds Daybreakers Rotary Club Tuesday morning.

Wippel received a plaque honoring her selection as the Edmonds Daybreakers 2013 Professional of the Year, which had been announced last month at the Rotary Club’s fundraising auction. The award is based on three main values of vocational service: 1. Aspiring to high ethical standards in her occupation; 2. Recognizing the worthiness of all useful occupations and 3. Contributing her vocational talents to the problems and needs of society.

Wippel was also awarded a Paul Harris Fellowship for her contributions to the values of Rotary from Bob Rinehart, a member of the Edmonds Daybreakers Rotary Club.

  1. Congratulations Teresa, I enjoyed hearing your story about creating myedmondsnews at the Friends of the Edmonds Library meeting earlier this month. You clearly have a passion for your work. Thank you for enhancing our community.

  2. Congratulations Teresa on well-deserved awards, and thank you to the Rotary for their recognition. Teresa, your work is much appreciated. Best wishes on the continued success of My Edmonds News.
