Ready, set, get these on the schedule: The City of Edmonds reminds us of the following family-friendly and fun events in the coming months:

HEALTH & FITNESS EXPO
Saturday, May 18 – 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Edmonds Stadium at Edmonds-Woodway High School
Health & Wellness booths/activities, Conquer the Hill 5k (9am), Rubber Chicken Relays, Soccer Skills Clinic, Cheer Clinic, Brown Bag Lunch and North Sound Seawolves FC Opening Game (1pm).  Organized by Edmonds Parks & Recreation, Move 60!, Swedish Edmonds, Edmonds Boys & Girls Club and North Sound Seawolves FC.  For more information call Edmonds Parks & Recreation 425-771-0230.

CONQUER THE HILL 5K
Fun, run, walk!  Saturday, May 18 at 9 a.m. Edmonds. Register online at www.getmeregistered.com (through 4 p.m. May 17) or in-person at the Frances Anderson Center (700 Main Street Edmonds). $20 Early Bird, $30 after May 13, registration on Race Day, space permitting.  Start at Edmonds-Woodway High School and then Down/Up Main Street Hill.

EDMONDS OUTDOOR MOVIE NITES
Bring the family to the Frances Anderson Center Playfield for a free, family night of movie entertainment. Bring your blanket or lawn chair to watch a blockbuster hit on a giant inflatable screen. The movie begins at dusk (around 9 p.m.). Refreshments will be sold. Movies and dates are:

July 26 – Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked (G)

SAND SCULPTING CONTEST
Tuesday, July 23–10 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Form a team or build on your own for this free, amateur contest open to all ages. Sign up at Marina Beach at 10 a.m.; judging at noon and awards at 12:30 p.m. Bring your buckets and shovels. Sponsored by Nama’s Candy Store.
