Reminder: Edmonds Rotary Waterfront Festival ready to launch Friday-Sunday

Times:  Friday 3-10 p.m., Saturday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Sunday 11 a.m.-7 p.m.
Location:  Port of Edmonds Marina, 358 Admiral Way
Admission:  $3. Children 12 & under are free

The 26th Annual Edmonds Waterfront Festival will take center stage in Edmonds May 31-June 2, hosted by the Rotary Club of Edmonds.

A major fundraiser, proceeds support Rotary programs and services, including college scholarships for local youth, support for YWCA transitional housing for women and their children, YMCA Partners with Youth, Boy Scouts, literacy, housing and water projects in Africa, Asia and Latin America and Rotary First Harvest service to local food banks.

Here are some of the attractions, located at the Port of Edmonds Marina:

THE MAIN STAGE welcomed by 106.1 KISS FM & The Point Casino presents top attractions including Magic Bus, popular NW dance band The Beatniks, party with Bullet Creek, and dance to The Hitmen. Sunday’s band lineup includes Tim Turner’s R&B band featuring John Pinetree and Kelly Reed. Lots of family entertainers will perform on the Main Stage including Edmonds Irish dance and music sensations The Gothard Sisters, always popular Reptile Isle reptile show, and music and dance from the South Pacific by Hula O Lehualani.

THE WILLOW CREEK (aka Deer Creek) FISH HATCHERY will offer free fishing for kids Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This event is hosted by Edmonds Laebugten Salmon Chapter and has become a traditional favorite attraction.

SHUTTLE BUSES. Shuttle buses will be on hand to help make your visit to the festival a snap. Free shuttle service is offered from: Downtown Edmonds @ 4th  & Bell, 5th & Dayton and 3rd & Dayton , Fri: 3 pm to 10 pm.  Sat: 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sun: 11 a.m. to 7 pm. Riders will be dropped off right at the front gate of the festival.

FOOD ROW will offer taste-tempting treats from over 15 food booths offering everything from bratwurst to bagels, and ice cream to crepes. Taste your favorites from Ziegler’s Bratwurst Haus, Euro Gyro, & The Codfather.

7th CLASSIC YACHT DISPLAY will be in the water all weekend long. The Rotary Club invites you to bring your sea legs and stroll the docks to enjoy yachts built as early as 1928 and up to 73-feet long.  www.classicyacht.org

HYDROPLANE DISPLAYS: get your picture taken with some of the fastest boats on water that you see at Seafair and Tastin’ ‘n Racin’.

THE KIDS’ ARCADE will have tons of fun stuff for the kids. Inflatable rides, carnival games, face painting, rock climbing wall, bungee trampoline, paintball gallery, a giant slide, and lots and lots of cool stuff for the youngsters.

ARTS & CRAFTS is always a favorite attraction. Glass art, pottery, paintings, jewelry, clothing, and much more.

MUSIC AT THE PIER Sea Jazz will kick off in conjunction with the Edmonds Rotary Club Waterfront Festival and will feature live jazz at the Pier on Saturday, June 1 and Sunday, June 2 starting at noon.

For your safety, pets, skates, skateboards and bikes are not allowed on festival grounds.
