On Monday Jessee Skittrall’s 48 Hour Finishing School partnered with the YWCA to bring job and life skills to a group of economically-disadvantaged women. The school’s experts, including Julie Sheplar, of Northern Torch Consulting, and Nicole Forward, of Vigilant Counsel for Employers, presented workshops on Success Signals and Conflict Management. These skills, according to Skittrall, are essential to excelling in the working world.

The second phase of the 48 Hour Finishing School will be held on June 17, when the women get styled at Skittrall’s Everett salon, Absolut Hair Salon & Makeup Bar, then dressed in a new outfit and given the movie star treatment with a photo shoot. The program is presented by Skittrall in a partnership with YWCA, DCC, DSHS, YMCA, Youthnet, and Pioneer Human Services.
