Edmonds police are seeking a suspect in the armed robbery of an Edmonds Way tanning salon Wednesday morning.
According to Edmonds police spokesman Sgt. Don Anderson, the suspect entered Tropical Tan, located in the 9700 block of Edmonds Way, around 8:30 a.m., displayed a handgun and demanded money from an employee. No one was hurt in this incident and the suspect was seen leaving in a small, white vehicle, turning from the parking lot onto Edmonds Way, then immediately taking a right turn onto 97th Avenue West.
Investigators were able to obtain some distant surveillance photographs of the car leaving the scene and is asking the public for help identifying the vehicle.
The suspect is described as a “clean cut” white male in his late teens, approximately 5-11, medium build with short blond hair. He was wearing a red baseball hat, a red plaid, short-sleeved, button-down shirt and blue jeans.
