Two local jazz groups featuring Edmonds-Woodway and Meadowdale High School students — the Avenue B Jazz Quartet and the Transit Jazz Combo — will be playing Friday, June 21 from 6-9 p.m. at Club Hollywood in Shoreline.

The Avenue B Jazz Quartet will feature regulars and recent EWHS graduates — Max Bennett on tenor saxophone and Jack Roben on guitar. Guest bassist Jackson Mindt and guest drummers Rahul Mathew and Tyler Dobson will also be featured.

The Transit Jazz Combo will feature EWHS students Kyle Brooks on tenor saxophone, Anthony McIntosh on guitar, Jackson Mindt on the bass and Rahul Mathew on drums.

The event is hosted by Avenue B and will include a mixture of performances by the Jazz Combo as well singing by jazz vocalist and Meadowdale High School graduate Taylor Zicklefoose, as well as jazz jamming with other talent from the Pacific Northwest.

There is no cover charge at the event. There will be food available in the Marilyn Lounge, including Happy Hour from 4-7 p.m.
