Washington State women military veterans are encouraged to plan on attending the Women Veterans Summit to be held Saturday, June 29 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Greater Tacoma Convention Center, in Tacoma.
This free conference will provide women veterans with information about opportunities and challenges women veterans face today, as well as information on benefits and services they might be entitled to.
The event will feature several power-house and dynamic speakers, including Brigadier General Rebecca Halstead (US Army, Ret). Halstead served 27 years with the U.S. Army and retired in 2008 as a General Officer. She culminated her career as the Commanding General of the Army’s Ordnance Center and Schools.
Halstead graduated from West Point in 1981 as a U.S. Army Ordnance officer and was the first female graduate of West Point to be promoted to General Officer.
Register for the event today here or contact Barb Logan at 360-725-2227.
