We published a story in March about Edmonds resident Joleen Sims, a player on the Everett Reign women’s football team.

After completing her season with the team in June, Sims learned that she had been selected to play for the Women’s Football Alliance All American Team in San Diego Aug. 3.

“We’ll have a practice the day before the game and are required to fund our way – flight, room, food, transportation,” Sims noted on the web page set up to take donations.

We hope that readers will take advantage of this opportunity to help Sims, who also takes photos for My Edmonds News in addition to being the team photographer for our North Sound SeaWolves soccer team.

  1. Congrats to Joleen as the effort and skills paid-off! She is also a great sports photographer for local teams like the North Sound Seawolves.
