The North Sound SeaWolves will try to earn their first win of the Premier Development League season when they meet the Seattle Sounders U-23 team at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Sunset Chev Stadium in Sumner.

The game is the fourth road game in a row for the SeaWolves (0-3-1), who play six of their first eight matches away from Edmonds Stadium.

“This is a big week,” SeaWolves coach Ed Moore said. “We need to start getting some positive results. This is a short season and we can’t let too much of it get away from us before we start turning things around.”

The SeaWolves have been outscored 11-4 this season and meet a Sounders (2-2-1) team that has won two in a row by 1-0 scores after starting the season with a pair of losses. The Sounders have been led by midfielder/forward Miles Byass – a former member of the United States U-18 National Team – and midfielder Aodhan Quinn, who has 23 assists in three seasons at powerhouse University of Akron. Both Byass and Quinn – whose dad Brian played for the U.S. National Team – have two goals. Also on the Sounders is former SeaWolves standout Abduwali Aman.

“They’re a talented team,” Moore said. “Obviously being affiliated with the Sounders helps them to attract some really strong players and they’ve shown what they can do their past two games.”

The SeaWolves continue to try to find a consistent combination on the field. David Durrant leads the team with two goals but North Sound is coming off of a 2-0 loss to the Portland Timbers.

The SeaWolves return home at 7:30 p.m. Friday to meet the Vancouver Whitecaps U-23 before heading back on the road for two more games. North Sound finishes the season with five of its last six at home.
