Public hearings on proposed International building and fire codes, a City of Edmonds Shoreline Master Program Update and proposed acquisition of property for 228th Street Southwest corridor improvements, plus a resolution supporting bills in the state Legislature that would fund local transportation projects, are on the agenda for Tuesday night’s Edmonds City Council meeting. In addition, the council is scheduled to confirm Mayor Dave Earling’s appointment of current Snohomish County Finance Director Roger Neumaier as the City’s new Finance Director.
Also on the agenda:
– A presentation by Sound Transit staff on the progress made on the light rail system planned from Northgate to Lynnwood.
– Consideration of an ordinance amending the Edmonds Community Development Code regarding the time limit for preliminary subdivision approval.
– An executive session regarding a real estate matter and pending litigation with potential action to follow.
The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Council Chambers, Public Safety Complex, 250 5th Ave. N., Edmonds.
