Elvis will be King at this year’s A Taste of Edmonds Aug. 9-11

Elvis sightings are predicted for this year’s A Taste of Edmonds, which runs  Friday through Sunday, Aug.  9 to 11. Even the Taste’s seagull mascot is sporting a pompadour in honor of the King, notes event sponsor the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce.

For music fans, two main stages will feature top talents such as Heart by Heart, Shambala, Spike and the Impalers, The Spazamatics and The Beatniks. Every band at the 2013 Taste will play at least one song made famous by the King — but for true Elvis fans Shane Cobane will be on stage with his Tribute to Elvis, as will as Tracy Alan Moore, Danny Vernon and the DeVilles, and even Little Elvis on the Kid’s stage.

Work up an appetite with all that dancing? There will be 35 Taste food vendors offering a range of choices for chowing down, plus your favorite beverage at the beer and wine gardens. And those who like to shop will find 70 arts and craft vendors.
