We are thrilled to be returning this Saturday, Aug. 17 to 5th and Bell, with all our market friends. Now that summer is truly here, there is so much to enjoy at the market. Here are just a few of the highlights:
This week brings the arrival of fall raspberries from our berry growers. Check out all the varieties of berries at Jessies, Youngquist, Hayton and Sakuma Berry Stands.
Skagit River Ranch is introducing their new bratwursts to the market this week. So they will be barbecuing up some samples for you to enjoy while you shop. Not into brats? knowing Eiko and George, there will be plenty of other delicious meats to sample as well.
Watermelons, cantaloupes, peppers, cucumbers and more are all being featured by a number of our farmers. Check out Gypsy Rows or Frog Song for some amazing Certified Organic greens and more. The early potatoes have been arriving, perfect for barbecues and salads.
Bill’s Fruits promises to have his famous Diamond Princess or Lady Di Peaches this week, and if you have not tried them, you are definitely missing something delicious.
From Tiny’s Organics, you can find Hiromi Gold plums, sweet nectarines and more.
Collins Family Orchards will have more Ginger Gold apples, Suncrest peaches, nectarines and more.
For our youngest shoppers and their parents, Clover the Balloon Fairy returns this week. She is an amazing fairy who brings her balloon magic to the market now and then, thrilling children and parents alike while sharing her balloon art.
On the steps of the Edmonds Museum at 9:30 catch the Edmonds Youth Clarinet Ensemble. This group of young clarinet players will entertain the market for about a half hour Saturday morning. Stop by and show your support for this musical group.
