On Monday at 11 a.m., Wendy Hinman, author of the top travel book, “Tightwads on the Loose” will speak at the Edmonds Library as part of a series coordinated by EPIC Group Writers. Hinman’s talk, “The Path to Publishing Success and Lessons I Learned Along the Way,” will include stories from her book about a seven-year sea adventure with her husband. Space for Monday’s library event is limited to the first 20 people.

Hinman’s stories have appeared in “a variety of publications, especially ones that sailors like to read.” One story was published in the anthology, “We Came to Say,” and another won a Solas Traveler’s Tales award for best travel writing. She is also the editor of the Writers Connection, a resource for readers and writers that features interviews with accomplished authors in the Puget Sound area.
