According to the latest reports filed with the Public Disclosure Commission, candidates for Edmonds City Council have raised of $44,235 to date. They have spent $17,667, leaving a surplus of $26,558 to spend before election day.
Position 3 challenger Ron Wambolt is leading fundraising so far with contributions of $16,776 from 85 donors. Eleven of those donating to Wambolt have contributed $500 in either cash or services. Wambolt is challenging incumbent Adrienne Fraley-Monillas, who has raised $13,401 from 90 contributors. Five of those donors have contributed $500 or more.
Strom Peterson, who is seeking re-election to City Council Position 2, reports raising $7,233 from 54 donors, with two at the $500 level. His opponent, Alvin Rutledge, reports no fundraising to date.
Council Position 1 incumbent Kristiana Johnson has raised $3,991 from 29 people, with only one at the $500 level. Her opponent, Randy Hayden, has raised $2,835 from nine contributors, with $900 from his own pocket.
